Is there any way to enter the Heart of Gold from the Dais?

  1. Until Trillian shows up, the game won't even let you try.
  2. After Trillian shows up, attempting to enter the Heart of Gold is deadly.
  3. Don't go on unless you've disarmed the guards (see the previous question).
  4. This isn't helpful all by itself, since the guards pick up their rifles and still shoot you if you break for the ship.
  5. You must figure out a way to get rid of the guards or the rifles permanently.
  6. The guards will _not_ leave the scene, no matter what you do.
  7. Trying to shoot the guards doesn't work either.
  8. There is, however, a way to dispose of the rifles.
  9. Take the blaster from Trillian and shoot the rifles. Alternatively you can just ASK TRILLIAN TO SHOOT THE PILE OF RIFLES.
  10. Once you've destroyed the rifles, it's safe to enter the ship.
