1. You need to get on deck first.
2. Did you notice, in the hold, the fuse burning towards the kegs of gunpowder, behind the fence?
3. Since you can't get through the fence yourself, you have to discover some way of putting the fuse out from a distance.
4. The gap above the fence will help.
5. You can throw things over the fence on to the burning end of the fuse.
6. They just slide off, you say, leaving the fuse undoused? What best fights fire?
7. Water! But since you can't move the water barrel from the deck, you'll have to rip off some other solution.
