Crulley's about to kill Nicholas! What can I do?

  1. There's no time to get to Crulley, and yelling to Nicholas will only bring disastrous results. There are at least three long distance remedies.
  2. One obvious remedy involves the pistol dropped by Lafond in his jump. Another method is explained starting with clue E. The third way out is detailed in clue H.
