How do I get the platinum bar?

  1. For ZORK I releases (revisions) 1 through 14, the only solution to this problem begins at 7. For ZORK I releases 15 on, there are two solutions -- the preferred solution begins at 2, the alternate at 7.

  4. Solve the puzzle of the dam.

  6. Open the dam gates. Wait until the reservoir is empty, then close the gates. Take advantage of the silence in the Loud Room while the reservoir refills.
